Grayson & Gordie
San Miguel, Mexico
Drawn to the moody romance of San Miguel de Allende, Grayson & Gordie knew from the beginning they wanted their wedding to feel far from traditional. The cobblestone streets, terra cotta facades, and lush greenery created an atmosphere that spoke entirely for itself, allowing them to focus on the experience rather than the minutiae of planning. For their mostly Texan guest list, the location felt both enchanting and accessible, offering a destination that carried a sense of magic without being overly complicated to reach. They loved how the city’s artistic spirit and timeless beauty set the tone for their celebration, creating a backdrop that felt both romantic and effortlessly unique. Looking back on the planning process, the couple encourages others to let go of unnecessary stress and avoid becoming consumed by the small details. Weddings, they believe, should feel exciting and deeply personal, not weighed down by perfectionism. While meaningful touches certainly have their place, the heart of the celebration rests in the people who gather and the vows exchanged. For them, keeping this perspective brought a sense of ease and joy to the months leading up to the day, a reminder that a wedding is about love and community rather than the colour of the napkins.

“Grayson and Gordie’s wedding images remind me of how important, as a photographer, the value of trust in vision is. From my initial intro meeting with Grayson, to the day of her wedding, I felt completely at ease... I could lean on my artistic intuition.”
