Nicole & Samuel

New York, USA

On the North Fork of Long Island, Nicole and Samuel built a wedding entirely their own, a September celebration rooted in place and saturated in every shade of blue the ocean could offer. Tradition anchored the day, from an intimate Ketubah signing at the couple's farmhouse to a ceremony beneath a chuppah draped in hydrangeas, before flowing into a beachside cocktail hour that let the coastal landscape set the tone. Blue wasn't so much a colour choice as a commitment, layered across patterns and textures until the palette felt dimensional rather than flat. When the perfect blue and white shells couldn't be found, designer Sara Landon handmade one hundred of them, each one a quietly personal detail that grounded the whole day in the couple's story. A Briermere Farms pie station, sardine-printed napkins, and a dance floor that never emptied did the rest.
