Hosted by Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, and set under the moonlit sky within the storied walls of the Universitat de Barcelona, the iconic designer presented her first-ever standalone bridal runway show—a celebration of artistry, craftsmanship, and bold, unforgettable beauty.

The house of Vivienne Westwood debuted its first standalone bridal runway show at Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, combining tradition, craftsmanship, and elegance. Held at the historic Universitat de Barcelona, the event was the highlight of the Bridal Night gala, organized by Fira de Barcelona.

Opening the show was runway icon Simonetta Gianfelici in the Madame de Pompadour inspired gown—an airy, modern echo of François Boucher’s 1759 portrait. The statuesque silhouette of ivory silk set the tone with quiet strength and theatrical grace.

The runway featured thirty-five looks from Westwood’s couture and made-to-order collections, each one rooted in the designer’s signature storytelling. Structured corsets, sharp tailoring, and a reimagined rose print—layered in tulle and accented with orange blossoms—added drama and depth. Each look stood on its own, distinct in detail and silhouette, yet together formed a strikingly cohesive narrative. With a mix of chiffon, georgette, and soft blush Italian silk, the collection walked the line between romance and rebellion, staying true to the house’s unmistakable point of view.

The show left us absolutely mesmerized. From the first look to the final moment, we were caught in its spell. The beauty, the emotion, the sheer artistry—it was impossible not to be moved.
