Cornwall’s wild beauty and quiet charm set the scene for a celebration deeply rooted in memory. For the bride, whose family hails from the county, the Roseland Peninsula was the backdrop to countless childhood walks, and had long been imagined as the perfect spot to wed. She and her husband had returned to Cornwall time and again for staycations, making it only natural to gather loved ones there. Among the day’s most cherished moments came after the vows, when a morning of relentless rain gave way to golden light. In St Mawes, the couple found themselves on the harbour wall outside a local pub, sharing a quiet drink while waiting for the ferry to their reception — a pause of pure stillness before the festivities began. Looking back, the bride offers her advice with ease: “Stay true to yourselves and don’t feel like you need to compromise to please everyone else.” For them, the heart of the day lay in great food, great music, and exceptional photography, with every other detail an added joy.
